WWDC2017 Apple Conference

All this week we will be covering the WWDC17 from San Jose, California! The WWDC is an annual conference held in California by Apple. New products, software updates and more are on display at this event.
CEO Tim Cook started the event with a long awaited update that Amazon was set to be featured are on Apple TV. This was an announcement that most people have expected for the last couple of weeks. After that Kevin Lynch  went on to update us on new features for the Apple Watch, the first was a new Siri face for the watch, you need to choose the information you want to receive from Siri based on time, location, and your routines. By raising your wrist with the watch you can receive key information like weather and traffic patterns on your way home from work. Along with the Siri face some new faces that were announced were 3 Toy Story characters! Woody, Jessie and Buzz Light year. Hitting the gym has also never been more Hi-tech with data being sent directly to gym equipment, which should roll out in the Fall. Apple music will also have a new redesign presenting album art on the front face of your watch.

Next up was the new update to the MacOS. The latest operating software will be called High Sierra. The biggest claim made was that under High Sierra, Safari will be the fastest browser in the industry. Another upside of High Sierra is that it works with split view. After the new OS was announced they brought up the newest line of Macbooks starting with the iMac. that will have the 7th generation processor known as Kaby Lake working with it. It will also come with two USB connectors and up to 80 percent faster graphics. There were 3 new iMac’s released with 3 prices. The 21.5 inch is starting at $1099. The 4K 21.5 inch is starting at $1299. The 5K 27 inch is starting at $1799. Along with these iMacs came the new iMac Pro which includes a retina 5K display, 8 core-xeon processor, Radeon Vega graphics, 32 GB memory and 10 GB Ethernet, for $4999. Next they brought up IOS 11 as the newest software update for iPhones. With IOS 11 some of the newer features include a redesigned app folder and the ability to sync messages to iCloud. If you ever need to pay a friend or family member look no further than Apple Pay through iMessage the new and improved way to send payments electronically. Siri is getting new features as well and these include ride scheduling, more messaging options, photo searching, car controls, workout plans and QR codes. The control center will now feature only a single page. Maps will give you new options like to check out the inside of a building, mall or airport. Next up was the new iPad pro with a 10.5 Retina display. With new Promotion technology the display will move from 60Hz to 120Hz. The new iPad also has new front colors and Apple pencil. The iPads come from 64GB starting at $649, a 256 GB starting at $749 and a 512GB $949 for the 10.5 inc display. The 12.9 inch has the same GB  but goes from $799, $899 and $1099 in order. Welcome to the latest home assistant from Apple. The latest rival to the Amazon Echo and Google Home will be Apple’s Homepod powered by Siri voice assistant. The item is set to release in December. The Homepod will be $349 and its main focus is to enhance the speaker system, which is not so great on rival home assistant devices.
The latest details coming in from WWDC were that the new iMacs(described above) are now VR devices. The screen will now be 43 percent brighter than prior iMacs and 21.5 inch model will have 32GB of RAM and the 27 inch model will have up to 64GB of RAM. The 5K model will also be able to go up to 5.5 teraflops which puts it into a category of very usable for VR technology!
